Full US squad set for WXC Bathurst 23

A full 28-strong team has been named to represent USA at the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 23 on 18 February.

Having secured a decisive win at the USATF Cross Country Championships in January, Ednah Kurgat will lead the women’s senior squad on her US team debut.

She will be joined by Allie Buchalski, Katie Izzo, Weini Kelati, Emily Lipari and Makena Morley.

Kurgat’s fellow national cross country champion Emmanuel Bor will use his experience from the 2019 World Cross Country Championships to guide the senior men’s team that features Reid Buchanan, Sam Chelanga, Andrew Colley, Dillon Maggard and Anthony Rotich.

Emma Coburn, who won the world 3000m steeplechase title in 2017, takes on the mixed 4x2km relay alongside teammates Alec Basten, Heather MacLean and Jordan Mann.

Irene Riggs is joined by Leo Young in heading the U20 squads.
