Road Closure Information For Local Residents

 

Event road closures will only be in place on Saturday 18th February, 2023 between 6am – 8pm for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 2023.

 

Please note, as this athletics event will mainly occur inside the track (in the Paddock Campgrounds area of Mt Panorama), minimal road closures will be implemented for this event.

 

ROAD CLOSURES

 

The following roads will be closed to all public and resident traffic (roadblocks established) as follows:

 

·      Pit Straight – between Conrod Straight and Mountain Straight

 

·      Mountain Straight – between Pit Straight & 107 Mountain Straight.

 

The following roads are closed to public but accessible to residents with a Vehicle Access Pass:

 

·      Conrod Straight

TIME & DATE OF ROAD CLOSURE

 

Road closures will apply from 6.00am Saturday, 18 February 2023 to 8.00pm on Saturday, 18 February 2023. 

 

 

RESIDENT ACCESS

 

Residents wishing to gain access to Conrod Straight between 6am – 8pm on Saturday 18th February 2023 should enter via Panorama Avenue.

 

Impacted residents will receive Vehicle Access Passes in early February, residents will need to show their Vehicle Access Pass to access Conrod Straight.

 

There will be a traffic controller at the intersection of Panorama Avenue & Conrod Straight to check Vehicle Access Passes, assist with the efficient flow of traffic and direct resident vehicles to the appropriate place.

 

ACCESS TO TUNNEL & BARRY GURDON DR

 

Resident access to secondary roads is as follows:

 

·      Tunnel -  No Access to tunnel from midnight Sunday 12th February – Wednesday 22nd February 2023

 

·      Barry Gurdon Dr - Barry Gurdon Drive is fully accessible at all times for residents before and during the event. There will be no interruption to access for residents wishing to use this road.
