Across nine days from 13 to 21 September 2025, the city of Tokyo will host the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (WCH Tokyo 25), welcoming more than 2,000 athletes from around 200 countries and regions.
The World Athletics Championships is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious international sporting events, drawing in crowds of spectators from across the globe.
Next year’s Championships marks the event’s much-awaited return to Japan, marking 18 years since Osaka 2007 and 34 years since the host city of Tokyo last held the event in 1991.
Volunteers will be a key component in the running of the championships, fulfilling a range of roles including hospitality, operations, and spectators service and are crucial to the events’ success.
