Janka Molnár
Only a fortnight remains until the commencement of the greatest sporting event in Hungary's history – the World Athletics Championships – scheduled to start on 19 August. In the brand new, purpose-built National Athletics Centre and the heart of Budapest itself, the largest-ever team of Hungarian athletes will proudly represent the national colors of red, white, and green. An important part of their preparations is that they can train at the venue of the World Championships, the National Athletics Centre, where today, for example, Janka Molnár and Bence Halász were also present.
Bence Halász
In addition to the 32 confirmed athletes for the World Championships, team members of relay and athletes with wildcards will be added to the Hungarian contingent. On the inaugural morning of the sporting event, our top medal contender, Bence Halász, will step into the hammer throw circle, vying for qualification.
Janka Molnár
Among our bright emerging talents, Janka Molnár is the rising star in the women's 400m hurdles. „In the final two weeks we are dedicated to the fine-tuning of techniques, without any intensive training. It is a great opportunity to train here following the National Championships, as we need to get used to this unique atmosphere. I am looking forward to hearing my name at the World Championships. My ultimate satisfaction depends on achieving a personal record with my name.
My primary goal is to have a result starts with 55 and advance from the preliminaries. We also want to show our capabilities with the relays. While reaching the finals of the mixed relay and the women's 4x400 would be a dream scenario, I believe that our national records make us to be contenders against the other teams at the World Championships," said the Hungarian champion. She starts her competition in the mixed relay on 19 August, then shows her talent in the women's 400m hurdles on 21 August.
