Record-breaking 63 athletes will represent Hungary at the World Championships

The biggest ever Hungarian team will compete in the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. From 19 to 27 August, there will be something to cheer for in almost all events at the brand-new National Athletics Centre and in the city centre of Budapest.

Miklós Gyulai, President of the Hungarian Athletics Association, presented the list of names on Tuesday on M1 TV channel. Of the 63 athletes, 32 qualified for the World Championships on the basis of the qualification list, and 31 athletes with the appropriate level of skills were eligible to be nominated by the World Athletics

"It has been a long, hard but successful period. We can be happy about one huge success before the start of the World Championships. It is a joint success for Hungarian athletics that we will have such a large delegation, and this will certainly have an impact on the future of the sport and its further support and development. Many thanks to all of you! In addition to the Hungarian Athletics Association's management, the technical staff, the athletes, the coaching staff, the staff of the HAA office, in short, everyone who has done their job in the past 10 years" - Miklós Gyulai told the MTI.

The World Athletics Championships Budapest 23 will be held between 19 and 27 August at the National Athletics Centre, with the road running and walking races taking place at Heroes' Square. Tickets are available at https://tickets.wabudapest23.com/.
