The decathletes are getting closer to the end: Damian Warner and Kevin Mayer could be among the contenders as the second half of their competition gets under way.

In the women's shot put, China’s Gong Lijiao and USA’s Chase Ealey could battle to top the qualification round. But it will also be worth paying attention to Anita Marton, who is the most successful Hungarian athlete of the last decade. She is preparing for the last major competition of her career.
