Collect stamps and win “Riku One” goodies at Ueno Zoo

With WCH Tokyo 25 set to light up the Japan National Stadium from 13 September, fans of all ages can get a taste of the action early at a special family-friendly event. The World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 Stamp Rally will take place at the famous Ueno Zoo, giving visitors the chance to learn fun athletics facts while exploring the zoo activities. 

Participants who collect all the stamps will receive original merchandise featuring the WCH Tokyo 25 mascot, Riku One. Plus, lucky entrants will be entered into a draw to win a Riku One plush toy.

Stamp rally details

• Dates: Tuesday 19 August – Sunday 31 August 2025 (closed Monday 25 August)

• Location: Ueno Zoo, West Garden, Tokyo (9-83 Ueno Park, Taito-ku)

• Organiser: WCH Tokyo 25

• Zoo Hours: 9:30 – 17:00 (last admission and ticket sales until 1 hour before closing)

• Stamp Rally Hours: 10:00 – 16:30

 

How it works:

• Three stamp stations will be set up in the West Garden: West Garden Rest Area, Amphibian and Reptile House, and Small Mammal House.

• Each station features easy-to-understand trivia about both the animals and athletics.

• Collect all the stamps to claim your Riku One merchandise, including badges, and be entered into the draw for a Riku One plush toy.

It’s the perfect summer activity for families to discover the excitement of athletics while enjoying the wonders of Ueno Zoo – don’t miss it!
