LEGEND THE BIGFOOT

The Pacific Northwest is known for many things: nature, culture, uniqueness, and track & field. There is also a mysterious creature that has long been the subject of lore and has remained a part of the fabric that makes the region so unique.

Our mascot has hidden within the depths of the forest for generations. In that time, travelers have only had rare glimpses of our creature - a footstep, some rustling foliage, or the telltale signs of improvised training grounds.

We've followed our mascot's tracks to this iconic trail where legends have refined their craft, all with the goal of one day competing on the biggest stage. That day is coming. Our mascot will be ready.

Only something so special, so unmissable, so iconic, and so big as the first World Athletics Championships on U.S. soil could lure Legend into the public arena. Introducing the official mascot of WCH Oregon22, Legend the Bigfoot.

Legend's Journey to Hayward Field

Legend the Bigfoot has been in hiding for a long time, but they just couldn't pass up on the chance to attend the biggest track and field event coming to U.S. soil for the first time.
