Tickets for the biggest sporting event in Hungary's history, the World Athletics Championships Budapest 2023, are selling at a phenomenal speed. Just over a month after going on sale, the number of tickets sold is already over 100,000!

Demand for the World Championships, to be held at the National Athletics Centre from 19 to 27 August, has exceeded the expectations of World Athletics. In addition to domestic spectators, fans from all over the world will be coming to the event.

Following Hungary, Great Britain tops the list of ticket-buying countries, then the United States of America, and Germany. Many fans from Central Europe will come to the biggest sporting event of the year, as well as French, Spanish and Italian fans, among others.

"We have two main objectives: the first is to see the superheroes of athletics compete in front of a sold-out stadium every night, and the second is to get the country moving, so that more people become ordinary heroes and start to exercise, and overcome their own limits.Just like superheroes do at the World Championships. " - said Balázs Németh, CEO of Budapest 2023 Zrt, the organiser of the World Championships.

Tickets are selling best for the 26 August, Saturday evening session. This is no surprise, as the most popular athlete of the sport, world pole vault record holder Armand Duplantis, will probably continue his fantastic story on this evening. Final weekend - Cheer them home packages are also very popular, offering the chance to celebrate world champions in 17 events over the last three days.

So, a memorable finale is guaranteed, but unlike many other world competitions, the World Athletics Championships will be a memorable event from the very first days!
