- Can Armand Duplantis (SWE) match Sergey Bubka by winning four world indoor pole vault titles?
- For the first time in history, six pole vaulters have cleared 6.00m or higher in the same year (Matvey Volkov is absent due to the ongoing RUS/BLR suspension)
- Could we see three (or more) athletes clear 6.00m or higher in a major championships for the first time? This has only happened once before (Silesia 2025 Diamond League - 1. Duplantis 6.26m WR, 2. Kendricks 6.00m, 3. Karalis 6.00m)
- Duplantis has a 40-1 head-to-head record over Karalis. However, Karalis’ sole victory over Duplantis did come at the World Indoor Championships back in 2018 (5. Karalis, 7. Duplantis)
- There was also a Greek winner when Poland hosted the 2014 World Indoor Championships in Sopot. Konstadinos Filippidis won the title on countback at 5.80m
