• The men's 4x400m was introduced onto the programme in 1991. Germany upset the United States, 3:03.05 to 3:03.24
• Poland's last world indoor title came in the men's 4x400m in 2018 where they won gold in a world record of 3:01.77...until Jakub Szymanski won the men's 60m hurdles title on Saturday evening
• World indoor records have been set in this event at four editions of the World Indoor Championships: 1991 (Germany - 3:03.05), 1999 (United States - 3:02.83), 2014 (United States - 3:02.13), 2018 (Poland - 3:01.77)
• Jereem Richards (TTO) won his first ever world indoor medal in this event in 2012. At 18y/58d he is the event's youngest ever medallist
