European 800m champion Adam Kszczot has been named by the Polish Athletics Association (PZLA) in both the 4x800m and distance medley relay for the IAAF/BTC World Relays, Bahamas 2015.
Last year in Nassau, Kszczot teamed up with European indoor champion Marcin Lewandowski to finish second in the 4x800m, setting a national record of 7:08.69 for the country’s sole podium finish in the Bahamian capital.
This year, Poland’s squad for the IAAF World Relays is more than double the size of last year with teams named for both the men’s and women’s 4x100m, 4x400m, 4x800m and distance medley, as well as the men’s 4x200m.
Aside from the men’s 4x800m and both distance medley teams, Poland also has high hopes in the men’s 4x400m, having won European bronze and European indoor silver in that event over the past 12 months.
