World cross-country champion Japhet Korir and world steeplechase champion Milcah Chemos are the latest big names to sign up for the SPAR Great Ireland Run, an IAAF Silver Label Road Race, in Dublin on 6 April.

Just 20 years old, Korir is one of the rising stars in distance running and was a comfortable winner of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland last year, becoming the youngest ever senior men’s winner in the history of the championships.

Korir will be joined in Dublin by fellow Kenyan Chemos, who will be running her first 10km and will provide a stiff test for home favourite Fionnuala Britton.

The SPAR Great Ireland Run is the only road race in Ireland with an IAAF Label. It is Ireland’s largest mixed 10km and up to 12,000 adults and children are expected to participate in the run and its associated junior events.
