Grant Holloway last competed in Paris in 2019. Now a two-time world 110m hurdles champion and Olympic silver medallist, the 25-year-old returns to the Meeting de Paris on 9 June as he heads to the city that will host next year’s Olympic Games.

Holloway made his Diamond League debut at the Paris meeting four years ago. Clocking 13.25, the US hurdles star finished sixth but went on to win the first of his two world 110m hurdles titles in Doha a few weeks later.

He then secured silver at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and retained his world title in Oregon last year, getting another win at Hayward Field, the venue that will host this year’s Wanda Diamond League Final where Holloway will hope to retain his Trophy.

Joining him at the Stade Charlety in two months’ time will be home stars Renelle Lamote and Kevin Mayer.

Decathlon world champion Mayer said: "The Meeting de Paris has a special place in my schedule. I’ve enjoyed some great moments here with several personal bests. Each time I feel like I transcend myself in what is a fantastic stadium for our sport, where the spectators are close to us and I really feel at home given the incredible public support.”

The 2023 Wanda Diamond League calendar includes a total of 14 meetings, starting with the event in Doha and concluding with the two-day final in Eugene on 16-17 September.
