Kenya’s Rebecca Chesir and Muluhabt Tsega of Ethiopia will be the main contenders for the women’s title at the Shenzhen Marathon, a World Athletics Gold Label road race, on Sunday (15).

Felix Kiptoo Kirwa and fellow Kenyan Rebecca Kangogo Chesir took top honours at the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, on Sunday (4).

Kenya’s Lucy Kabuu is the leading name in the women-only elite field for the first Saitama International Marathon, an IAAF Silver Label Road Race, on Sunday 15 November.

Rebecca Kangogo Chesire took almost half a minute off the Stramilano Half Marathon course record on Sunday (29), winning in 1:08:21. Fellow Kenyan Thomas James Lokomwa successfully defended his title in the men’s race.

In just her second ever race over the classic distance, Kenya’s Rebecca Chesire held off a late charge from marathon debutante Elvan Abeylegesse to win the Vodafone Istanbul Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, on Sunday (17).
