Cold and windy weather in the Slovak spa city of Dudince welcomed the race walkers at the 35th edition of the Dudinska 50, an IAAF Race Walking Challenge meeting, on Saturday (19).

After visiting Oceania and North America, the IAAF Race Walking Challenge moves to Europe for the third meeting in this year’s series. A record number of 259 race walkers from 40 countries are expected for the jubilee 35th edition of the Dudinska 50 in Slovakia on Saturday (19).

Athletics fans and residents of the small spa city of Dudince in the south of Slovakia will have the chance to watch top race walkers from 25 countries compete at the IAAF Race Walking Challenge meeting on Saturday (21).

Polish race walker Rafal Augustyn retruned to one of his favourite circuits and won the 50km event at the 33rd edition of the Dudinska patdesiatka in the south of Slovakia, part of the 2014 IAAF Race Walking Challenge, in a personal best of 3:45:32 on Saturday (22).
