A dozen Olympic champions are set to face strong early season challenges as the 2017 IAAF Diamond League series continues in Shanghai on Saturday (13) evening.
Fans at the Shanghai Diamond League meeting on 13 May, the second stop of the 2017 IAAF Diamond League series, will be treated to a unique event when the best male and female discus throwers in the world compete together for the first time ever at a top-level track and field meeting.
German brothers Robert and Christoph Harting, the 2012 and 2016 Olympic discus champions respectively, will clash with last year’s world-leading thrower Daniel Stahl at the Bauhaus-galan, an IAAF Diamond League meeting, in Stockholm on 18 June.
