The inaugural World Athletics Road Running Championships, which will crown the world mile, 5 km, and half-marathon champions, will see thousands of amateur runners from at least 100 countries competing alongside elite runners.
Any recreational runner who is ready for a challenge can register for any of the official mass races of the World Championships in Riga and earn a unique medal from the World Athletics Road Running Championships.

11:50 - 5 km Women's Elite
12:15 - 5 km Men's Elite
13:00 - Road Mile Women's Elite
13:10 - Road Mile Men's Elite
13:30 - Half Marathon Women’s Elite
14:15 - Half Marathon Men's Elite + Mass Race
14:15 - Half Marathon Mass Relay Race
General mass race entry fees:
€19 for Road Mile (1609m)
€29 for 5km
€59 for Half-Marathon (21,0975 km)
€59 – Half Marathon Relay for two participants
The first participant runs ≈10.2 km, starting from the beginning of the half-marathon course and heading towards the Dailes Theater. The following runner takes over from the relay change point at the Dailes Theater and completes a distance of ≈10.9 km, reaching the finish line of the half-marathon at Krastmala.
Entry fees will increase closer to the event.

€3 - 50 m "Sprint King and Queen"
