Training during the summer
For many people, summer is a time to slow down. But if you're preparing for the World Athletics Road Running Championships Copenhagen 26, it's also an important part of your training journey.
Whether you're getting ready for the One Mile, 5 km or Half Marathon, the kilometres you run now are helping to build the foundation for your race weekend in Copenhagen on 19–20 September.
Warm weather can make training more challenging, but it can also work in your favour. As your body gradually adapts to running in higher temperatures, you'll be better prepared if race weekend brings warm conditions.
The key isn't to chase personal bests in every session. It's to stay consistent, adjust your training to the conditions and keep moving forward.
