General tickets now on sale!

 

The World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 are set to take place from over nine days of thrilling athletics action from 13 - 21 September 2025 and will feature 2000 of the world’s best athletes from 200 countries. With 250,000 tickets already sold across 49 events during the pre-sale ticketing phase, general ticket sales for the 20th edition of the Championships began at 18:00 JST on Friday 31 January 2025.

A total of 700,000 tickets are available for next year’s Championships, with 70 percent of them priced at an affordable 10,000 JPY (approx. 65 USD) or less. In an effort to make the event more accessible to a wider audience, 2,025 special tickets priced at just 2,025 JPY (approx.13 USD) will be offered for each session.

 

Hospitality packages offering premium services such as food, drinks, and lounge access will be available for purchase, where specified ticket packages will also come with merchandise and giveaways. These packages can be purchased by both corporate and individual spectators, with private room plans tailored specifically for corporate clients. 　 Pre-sale ticket issuance

 

Ticket holders who purchased tickets during the pre-sale period will receive their e-tickets via email between 28 and 30 January 2025. 

 

Ticket holders who purchased their tickets through the Ticket Pia or TBS Ticket websites will have their tickets issued starting from Friday January 31 at 18:00 JST. Please refer to each website for further details.

WCH Tokyo 25 is committed to ensuring a fair and secure ticketing experience for all fans. That’s why we are introducing the official ticket resale service, allowing supporters who can no longer attend the championships to offer their tickets to fellow fans at face value.

 

The resale platform launched at 18:00 JST on Friday 20 June 2025 via the WCH Tokyo 25 official ticketing website. Tickets purchased through the official site may be listed for resale directly from your My Page account. This fan-to-fan exchange offers peace of mind for sellers and a final opportunity for buyers to secure their seat at the sport’s greatest global stage.

 

Important notes on the resale service:

 

• Please note that listing a ticket for resale does not guarantee it will be sold. Resale is only completed when another fan chooses to purchase your ticket.
• Once a ticket has been listed for resale, it cannot be cancelled or withdrawn, so please confirm your plans before posting.
• A refund will only be issued if the ticket is successfully resold. If the ticket remains unsold by the deadline, it will remain valid for the original purchaser’s use.
• No cancellations or changes can be made once a resale transaction is completed.
• Tickets purchased using convenience store payment methods are not eligible for resale.
• The handling fee is non-refundable, even if the resale is successful.
