Brittany Anderson of Jamaica was been named one of five finalists for the 2019 Female Rising Star Award, which recognizes the best Under 20 athlete in the world. Anderson made the list after breaking the world Under 20 record twice in the women's 100m hurdles at the Motonet Grand Prix meeting in Joensuu, Finland. Anderson's time was also a new national junior record, breaking Rushelle Burton's time of 12.87 set in July of 2016.
