World Road Running Championships, Riga23
The first World Athletics Road Running Championships were held successfully, and three world records were set! The women's world record was set by Ethiopian Diribe Welteji, while the men's title and a new world record was set by American Hobbs Kessler. Additionally, in the mass half marathon for the women's age group 65-69, Portuguese runner Rosa Mosa also set a world record!

Mass race results
Total of 13,334 runners participated in the World Road Running Championships! The half marathon was completed by 3,252 runners, the half marathon relay by 502, the 5km distance by 3,952 runners, and the 1609-meter long mile by 2,560 runners.
And the Rimi Kids' Day, which marked the start of the most significant athletics event in Baltics history, 3,065 young runners registered for the 200m, 400m, Babies courses, and 50-meter sprint "Sprint King and Queen" distances.

As part of the Signet Bank Teams Cup at the World Road Running Championships, we determined the fastest teams in the small, medium, and large teams categories, as well as the fastest running clubs!
