The Half Marathon

The Half Marathon is the showcase event of the weekend, featuring both the World Championship athletes and thousands of enthusiastic citizen runners. The race will be held as one mass event, with a total of 30,000 participants expected to take part.

World Championship Athletes

The elite World Championship athletes will be the first to start, setting off in a single group. These top-tier runners from around the globe will compete for the prestigious world title and prize money.

General Participants

Following the World Championship athletes, the general participants will begin their race. To ensure a smooth start and prevent overcrowding, runners will be released in waves of 500-750 people. The waves will be separated by intervals ranging from 30 seconds to 2 minutes 30 seconds, depending on the athletes' seed times or unique competitive divisions.

Seed Times and Competitive Divisions

Runners will be assigned to waves based on their estimated finish times, known as seed times. This ensures that participants of similar paces start together, enhancing safety and allowing for a more enjoyable race experience. Additionally, some waves may be dedicated to specific competitive divisions, such as age group categories or corporate teams.

Course and Amenities

The Half Marathon course will showcase the city's iconic landmarks and beautiful scenery. Water stations, medical support, and cheer zones will be strategically placed along the route to keep runners hydrated, safe, and motivated. Digital clocks will be positioned at key milestones to help participants track their progress.

Timing and Results

All participants will be provided with a timing chip to ensure accurate race results. Live tracking will be available for friends and family to follow their loved ones' progress online. After the event, runners will be able to access their offcial time, split times, and overall placement through the event website or app.
