From 21st May at 11:00 CET you can register for the fierce and festive 5KM and the mythical One Mile at the World Athletics Road Running Championships Copenhagen 26.
This is your chance to join 65,000 runners in the footsteps of the world elite. Everybody is qualified, whether you are looking for a chance to smash your personal best or simply want to enjoy the experience you can become a Champ. Of some sort.
THE 5KM
The 5 kilometer race at the WRRC Copenhagen 26 is for the few and fierce with podium ambitions. And it is also for the many, who simply join for the unique and festive experience.
Pick your own reason to run.
The course is fast, flat and full of loud spectators that will make you feel like the center of the world. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned runner, the 5K is achievable. The distance is short enough to attract newcomers but also challenging enough for experienced runners to chase personal bests.
And regardless of your pace we promise you that the music, entertainment and spectators along the course will help carry you all the way to the finish line – and your own world championship medal.
THE ONE MILE
The legendary distance. 1,609 kilometers that runners for centuries have competed to cover in the shortest time possible.

It is the race where world champions win by the narrowest of margins, and everyone else can run, jog, walk, or dance with the broadest smiles. As a One Mile runner in the WRRC Copenhagen 26 you can go all out right behind the world elite or take it easy and enjoy the experience with your family.
In short: At the One Mile race you will get the prime conditions for a sub 4 minute mile – or for an epic walk in Copenhagen.

THREE Q&As
- Both the 5km and the One Mile is held on Saturday 19 September 26. One mile before noon and 5km in early afternoon.
- There are awesome medals for all at the finishing line – regardless of your finishing time, your age, or the length of your legs.
