How often do you get to run an official World Championships?
On 19 September 2026 the best runners on the planet on the 5 km and One mile compete for the World Championship titles in Copenhagen.
Everyone is welcome to join. Whether you’re fast or slow, have short or long legs, you’re in for a unique run and an experience you’ll never forget.
And now you can also give your loved ones the unique experience for christmas.
Simply press the button below, choose the right distance (5 km or One Mile) and enter your personal details. Afterwards you type in the information on the recipient, and then you pay.
You will then receive an e-mail with the information needed to register for the World Championships. In that email you will also find links to illustrations of a World Championship race bib, that you can download, print, wrap in christmas paper and put under the tree.

THE 5 KM
The 5 kilometer race at the WRRC Copenhagen 26 is for the few and fierce with podium ambitions. And it is also for the many, who simply join for the unique and festive experience.
Pick your own reason to run.
The course is fast, flat and full of loud spectators that will make you feel like the center of the world. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned runner, the 5K is achievable. The distance is short enough to attract newcomers but also challenging enough for experienced runners to chase personal bests.
And regardless of your pace we promise you that the music, entertainment and spectators along the course will help carry you all the way to the finish line – and your own world championship medal.
THE ONE MILE
The legendary distance. 1,609 kilometers that runners for centuries have competed to cover in the shortest time possible.
Love it or hate it!
It is the race where world champions win by the narrowest of margins, and everyone else can run, jog, walk, or dance with the broadest smiles. As a One Mile runner in the WRRC Copenhagen 26 you can go all out right behind the world elite or take it easy and enjoy the experience with your family.
In short: At the One Mile race you will get the prime conditions for a sub 4 minute mile – or for an epic walk in Copenhagen.

- Both the 5km and the One Mile is held on Saturday 19 September 26. One mile before noon and 5km in early afternoon.
- There are awesome medals for all at the finishing line – regardless of your finishing time, your age, or the length of your legs.
