World silver medallist Cindy Roleder is looking forward to returning to the Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe on 4 February for the third stop on the IAAF World Indoor Tour.

The 27-year-old German won the European title earlier this year and went on to finish fifth at the Olympic Games in Rio. She is already back in training for the indoor season and can’t wait to compete in front of her home crowd.

“The atmosphere is fantastic and the competition is great,” she said. “The track is fast, so world-class times and PBs should be possible; that’s my goal. I’m back in full training. My muscles hurt but I can still stand.”

The women’s 60m hurdles isn’t a scoring event in this year’s World Indoor Tour, but organisers of the Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe have added it to their programme and have promised a world-class field.

The men’s 60m hurdles, 1500m, long jump and high jump, plus the women’s 60m, 800m, 3000m, pole vault and shot put will be the World Indoor Tour scoring events in Karlsruhe.
