DAY 9 delivered another electrifying atmosphere inside the Japan National Stadium, as 58,723 fans filled the stands — a new WCH Tokyo 25 championships record that surpassed the previous high of 58,643 set on DAY 7. Together, they witnessed extraordinary performances, shared unforgettable moments, and celebrated the unifying power of athletics.
We are proud to confirm that by the close of the championships, the cumulative attendance across nine days was 619,288, a landmark achievement that reflects both the global appeal of athletics and the unwavering passion of the Japanese public.
From record-breaking achievements on the track to the roar of full stadiums night after night, WCH Tokyo 25 has embodied its motto: “Every Second, SUGOI”.
