There have been a few notable changes today confirmed by the Ethiopian Federation regarding their squad for the Athens Olympics.

All-Africa and Afro-Asian Games 10,000m champion Ejigayehu Dibaba, the older sister of World 5000m gold medallist Tirunesh has taken the place of World 10,000m champion Berhane Adere in the women's 10,000m. Adere is out of top condition and not responding well to her training load the federation confirmed today.

As such, because Ejigayehu does not want to compete in two events in Athens, she is replaced in the women's 5000m by Meserat Defar, the World Indoor 3000m champion.
