Dorian Keletela, who in 2021 became the first sprinter to represent a refugee team at a global championships, will contest the 100m. And Mohammad Amin Alsalami, who last year became the first field event athlete to represent a refugee team at a global championships, has been named in the long jump.
“These athletes are an enrichment to our Olympic Community, and to our societies,” said IOC President Thomas Bach. "With their participation in the Olympic Games, they will demonstrate the human potential of resilience and excellence.
